Port City Java has been waking up Wilmington, NC since 1995. Nestled in the heart of historic downtown, our first café quickly became a hub for coffee lovers in the community. Our admittedly simple goals were to bring great, fresh-roasted coffee to our neighbors with the help of a charming but ever mischievous 15-kilo Ambex roaster. Port City Java has evolved and grown to operate over 30 cafes as well as its own bakery, roastery and distribution center since then. Our menu offers a diverse selection to satisfy all of your sweet and savory urges. Beverages include a rotating selection of remarkable coffee, carefully crafted espresso drinks, smoothies made with real fruit, milkshakes made with rich ice cream and award winning teas among other items. We bake fresh daily and our breakfast sandwiches and wraps are made on site and are served hot all day. The apricot tea is delicious! Great decor and layout. It's a nice place to take a break from shopping.

Nice customer service and clean cookie cutter feeling shop. Came here because there website said “We use the freshest coffee beans, premium beverage brands and spend a significant amount of time training our baristas to get it all right.” ... and so on so on. My latte, however, does not say that. It says, “I will make your taste buds suffer... I will squeeze the life and joy out of your tongue and deficate in your mouth so you can still taste it for several minutes after each sip.” Ultimately I think there has been a miscommunication between what the website says and what the latte is saying. I’ll probably come back and get a smoothie because it’s nice just to sit in here and listen to the smooth jazz.
